Investment Requirements

To qualify for Latvian residency, foreign nationals must complete one of the following investment options:

1. Capital Investment
From €50,000

Make a minimum investment into an existing Latvian company. The investment may be returned after 5 years.

  • One-time Government Payment €10,000
  • Company Tax Requirement Min. €40,000 / year
2. Financial Investment
From €280,000

Investment in the subordinated loan capital of a Latvian credit institution. Must be held for a 5-year period.

  • Minimum Loan Capital Investment €280,000
  • One-time Government Payment €25,000
3. Real Estate Investment
From €250,000

Purchase real estate with a minimum value of €250,000. The property may not be sold during the 5-year resident permit.

  • Minimum Property Value €250,000
  • Government State Fee 5% of property value
4. Government Bonds
€250,000

Investment in a non-interest bearing government bond. The bond must be held for a 5-year period.
