Eligible Investment Options (2025)

1. Venture Capital / Private Equity Funds
€500,000

A minimum investment in qualifying Portuguese investment funds.

2. Scientific Research Contribution
€500,000

A contribution to a certified scientific research institution.

3. Business Creation or Expansion
€500,000

Invest in a Portuguese company that creates at least 5 permanent jobs.

4. Arts & Heritage Donation
€250,000

A donation to support cultural projects or heritage preservation.

Procedures & Timeline

Step 1: Evaluation & Investment Selection
Avion Citizenship evaluates your profile and helps you select the appropriate investment fund or business creation path.
Step 2: Bank Account & Tax Number
We assist in obtaining your Portuguese tax number (NIF) and opening a local bank account to transfer the investment funds.
Step 3: Online Application & SEF Review
The completed file and proof of investment are submitted to SEF (Portuguese Immigration) for initial processing.
Step 4: Biometrics & Residency Issuance
Once pre-approved, applicants visit Portugal for a biometric appointment. Residency cards are subsequently issued and mailed.
